What's new in Colour...

Creating a child’s room can be a fun yet sometimes challenging design project. Colours and themes are really only limited by your imagination. But, you do want to consider how the room will grow with the child.  Making some smart decisions in the beginning can save quite a lot of time, effort and money in the future. Choose a colour that will grow with your child. Go with something neutral on the walls and use brighter colours as accents.  A good way of injecting a splash of colour into the space is by wallpapering one wall. This could be the area that will define the space yet is not too hard to change in the future.
Dressers and bedside lockers are another way to customise a room while still being practical about the furniture’s use down the road. For a nursery, these items can be painted with Colortrend Satinwood in soft muted tones - while for a teenager's room they can easily be changed to a vibrant gloss colour to add excitement and buzz.

Kids’ rooms obviously need lots of storage – for their toys, books and collections. Choosing bookshelves in a basic style and neutral colour will help the furniture grow with your child. Think big too – getting a tall shelf can help you maximize vertical space in the room. And even if toddlers don't have enough stuff to fill it, believe us, they soon will!
Children will create all sorts of artwork as they grow up. One way to display some of those priceless creations is to use frames. Cheap frames can be painted in any colour of your choice and can be changed over and over again as your child, and their artwork, changes.

Note: On-screen and printer colour representations may vary from actual paint colours.
